"विकिपीडिया मराठीत लिहिताना कुठलीही शंका येऊ नये असे मला वाटते.कारण:
१)इंग्रजीत शेवटी आ हा उच्चार फ़क्त ahनेच होतो, उदा: Allah चा उच्चार अल्ला.
२)मारिया, बल्गेरिया, रशिया वगैरेंचे अस्सल इंग्रजी उच्चार मारिअऽ, बल्गेरिअऽ, रशऽ असेच आहेत.मराठीत हे शब्द 'या'न्त लिहिले तरच भाषासुसंगत दिसतात. 'आ'न्त शब्द मराठीत नसावेत. असलेच तर ते 'या'न्त किंवा 'वा'न्त होतात. उदा: जिओ X /जियो\/; कौआ X/कौवा\/; बुवा वगैरे.

४) V चा उच्चार खालच्या ओठावर दात रोवून करायचा तर w मधील 'व'चा ओठांचा चंबू करून. ५) 'आय्'चा उच्चार नेहमी ऱ्हस्व 'इ' होतो. अपवाद:- इन्वलीड्(अपंग/अपंग करणे) ; परंतु इनव्हॅलिड(बेकायदेशीर,गैरलागू इत्यादी.) त्यामुळे विकिपीडिया हाच बरोबर उच्चार आहे. w असल्याने 'वि' ओठांचा चंबू करून म्हणायचा." Very nice explanation of the pronunciations. It is quite consistent with what I hear from native (British and American) English-speaking people. Given this explanation, my earlier opinion about keeping the spelling consistent with other Devanagari wikipedias, and pronunciation of similar words put forward by Sankalp, I support "विकिपीडिया".
I am new here. My user account is Wolf. Unfortunately, I speak no Marathi, but I can speak English, Swedish, and a bit of Bengali and Hindi. I thought it would be nice if the Marathi Wikipedia had a new logo, so I created a transparent logo which could replace the current one. According to the front page, it is विकिपिडीया, not विकिपीडिया, so I have corrected this. Please consider changing the current logo to the new one. The Marathi Wikipedia is very nice in my opinion, and deserves a nice logo.

लोगोत बदल करत आहात हे चांगले आहे परंतु 'विकिपीडिया' व 'मुक्त विश्वकोश' (माझ्यामते विश्वकोश लिहावे न्यानकोशाऐवजी) हे ज्या फाँट मध्ये लिहिले आहे ते बदलावे. किरंण/अमृता ह्या किंवा इतर sophasticated फ़ोन्ट नी ही अक्षरे लिहावीत.मुखपृष्ठाचे formatting बदलावे. इतर भारतीय़ भाषिक विकिज ने खूप बदल केले आहेत काही दिवसांत.

Nice. But I don't like the break in shirorekha. Perhaps move the larger letters down instead of up?

Dear Wolf, Thanks for ur help. I would suggest to use a sophasticated and 'wide' font for the main text in which वि and या are slightly bigger and superheaded in accordance with English wikipedia. You might wat to use Kiran/Amruta font. →→महाराष्ट्र एक्सप्रेस(च/यो)→→ 07:00, 11 जानेवारी 2007 (UTC)
I find two issues with the latest incarnation of images.
विश्वकोश needs to be spelt properly.
मुक्त विश्वकोश needs to be pulled up so the bottom is not cut off when displayed in the top-left corner. We had that problem for the longest time with the version before the one we have now.
I tried to fix the two with the limited set of graphical tools at my disposal, but no luck.
Can someone pls make the necessary change to the last image from wolf?

लोगो बदलण्यामागचा एक उद्देश आहे अक्षरे ठळक करण्याचा. तर असे असल्यास किरण टंकलिपी वापरावी. शिवाय अक्षरगोल व अक्षरांच्या आणि चित्राच्या चौकटी दरम्यान थोडी जागा सोडावी. अगदी चौकटीला लागून असल्यास ते डिटेल कापले जाते.

Can you not copy-paste the last line from the images that wolf gave earlier? Also, if possible, can you pull the globe down a little so the top is not chopped off when displayed as a logo?

The img looks good. Once the lower line is added, it will be put on चावडी for a brief period before making it official.
Let's not experiment with size of the img for now.
When some one converts fonts to image some color loss happens.One needs to select a system which causes minimal colour loss.in Baraha Website FAQ's some where procedure is given. I feel there is a little color loss apearing in image prepared by Abhay.
