मराठी विकिपीडिया हे इंटरनेटवरील मराठी ज्ञानकोशाच्या विकासास वाहिलेले मुक्त, अव्यापारी आणि समाईक संकेतस्थळ आहे. मराठी विकिपीडिया व त्याच्या विक्शनरी, विकिबुक्स, विकिक्वोट इत्यादी प्रकल्पात स्वयंसेवी आणि सहयोगी पद्धतीने लेखन केले जाते.
विकिपीडिया व्यक्तींच्या प्रताधिकारांचा संपूर्ण आदर करते. इंटरनेटवरील मराठी समुदायाला विश्वासार्ह आणि मोफत माहितीची खूप गरज आहे.मराठी समाजाची ही गरज तसेच सर्वसामान्य मराठी समाज आणि मराठी भाषेस होणारी दूरगामी मदत म्हणून , आपले "Flickr photographs " या संकेतस्थळाने उपलब्ध केलेले "Flickr photographs चित्र/छायाचित्र "या संकेतस्थळावरील /छायाचित्र मराठी विकिपीडियावर किंवा तिच्या विक्शनरी, विकिबुक्स, विकिक्वोट, विकिसोर्स इत्यादी सहप्रकल्पातून मुक्तस्वरूपात संपूर्ण किंवा अंशिक स्वरूपात उपयोग/प्रकाशित करण्याच्या दृष्टीने विनामोबदला प्रताधिकारमुक्त करावे अशी नम्र विनंती आहे.
मराठी विकिपीडियाच्या mr.wikipedia.org/ या संकेतस्थळास भेट देऊन मराठी विकिकरांच्या जातीने परीक्षण करून आपल्या शंका व मार्गदर्शन करून आम्हाला उपकृत करावे. तसेच आपण स्वतः काही अधिक लेखन सहयोग मराठी विकिपीडियास करू शकला तर मराठी भाषेचा ज्ञानभाषा म्हणून संवर्धन करणारे हे आंतरजालावरील दालन अधिकाधिक समृद्ध होण्यात मोठाच हातभार लागेल.

"मी ( नाव: ।टोपण नाव: ) अशी उद्घोषणा करतो की "Flickr photographs चित्र/छायाचित्र"ह्या शीर्षकांचे या ".... दुव्या "(...या स्रोतांत प्रकाशित) वरील संपूर्ण लेखन/छायाचित्र माझे मूळ लेखन आहे.त्याचा प्रताधिकार माझ्याकडे आहे. इथे नमूद केलेले हे लेखन (पर्याय-.....या संकेतस्थळा वरील माझे सर्व लेखन/छायाचित्र) मी सार्वजनिक हिताच्या दृष्टीने , बौद्धिक संपत्ती व प्रताधिकारातून मुक्त करत आहे.या नमूद लेखन/छायाचित्राचा उपयोग कुणीही,माझ्या कोणत्याही बंधना शिवाय,( कायद्यांची इतर बंधने असतीलतर,अशी व्यक्ती, स्व-जबाबदारीवर ) कोणत्याही स्वरूपात वापर सार्वजनिक स्वरूपात करू शकते.
प्रताधिकार मुक्तीची उद्घोषणेचा एक उद्देश्य असे लेखन विकिपीडिया किंवा तिच्या सहप्रकल्पा अंतर्गत संबधीत संकेत स्थळांवतर अंशिक किंवा संपूर्ण स्वरूपात वापरले जाण्याची शक्यता असुन ,Wikipedia येथे केलेले कोणतेही लेखन GNU Free Documentation License (अधिक माहितीसाठी Wikipedia Project:Copyrights पाहा) अंतर्गत मुक्त उद्घोषित केले आहे असे गृहीत धरले जाईल याची मी/ आम्ही नोंद घेतली आहे. लेखनाचे मुक्त संपादन आणि मुक्त वितरण करण्यास माझी कोणतीही आडकाठी नाही.

You may be aware that Wikipedia is an international Web-based free-content encyclopedia. It exists as a wiki, a website that allows visitors to edit its content; the word Wikipedia itself is a portmanteau of wiki and encyclopedia. Wikipedia is written collaboratively by volunteers, allowing articles to be changed by anyone with access to the website.
The marathi version of wikipwdia (http://mr.wikipedia.org/wiki/) is also developing fast and already has more than 4000 articles in it. And marathi has maximum number of articles than any other indian language. Marahi is on number 60of 229 languages in wikipedia.
To maintan this wealth of informtion in Marathi and build it further we seek participation for all Marathi speaking people in this venture.
We Request you to 1. Visit marathi wikipedia mr.wikipedia.org/wiki/ and understand how it works 2. Please add a link to your Web Page 3. We seek your contributing to marathi wikipwdia specialy in the areas of lingustics. 4. Promote use of marathi wikipwdia with your family and friends.

Thanks for your prompt reply. at Marathi Language Wikipedia we do have a project called विकिपीडिया:वनस्पती about plants.Today I reached to your photograph link about flowers of tree "Anjan (Sanskrit: अंजन)" at your fkickr link www.flickr.com/photos/dinesh_valke/3094880129/
Since we do not have enough picks of tree "Anjan (Sanskrit: अंजन at wikimedia commons I decided to make a special request to you.

Dear Vijay, I have modified the license of photograph at www.flickr.com/photos/dinesh_valke/3094880129/.
Now the license released is Attribute-ShareAlike ... this license should suit your use at Wikipedia.
BUT PLEASE NOTE: this is not the plant which you are discussing at mr.wikipedia.org/wiki/अंजन ... this plant is अंजन anjan OR अंजनी anjani, लोखंडी झाड lokhandi jhad ... botanical name is Memecylon umbellatum, and it belongs to Melastomataceae family. It is found at high elevations like Matheran, Mahabaleshwar, and hills of Western Ghats.
You can however think of describing Anjani tree and make use of the photo.
AND do not hesitate to request for any number of photos for the noble use of Wikipedia ... my selfish interest is to use the beautiful desciption in Marathi that you are putting up ... of course, if you do not object ... I will certainly be linking back to your WIKI page.
