'विकिमीडिया फाउंडेशन'कडून मिळणारी ही आंतरजालीय संगणकप्रणाली मुक्तस्वरूपाची असून स्वतःच्या संकेतस्थळावर स्वतंत्रपणे वापरण्यास आपली संस्था मुक्त असते याचीदेखील नोंद घ्यावी.
हे वाक्य आवाहनात का असावे ते कळले नाही, त्यामुळे काढून टाकले आहे.
सर्वांना उद्देशून केलेले भाष्य संपादन
'मराठी विकिपीडिया'वर मराठी विकिकर आपणा सर्वांची आतुरतेने प्रतीक्षा करीत आहेत.
पत्र विभागप्रमुखांना उद्देशून असल्याने मध्येच सर्वांना उद्देशून केलेले हे भाष्य आणि तत्सम काही मजकूर विसंगत वाटतो. सर्वांना उद्देशून जे आवाहन वगैरे लिहायचे ते दुसरे नवीन पत्र करून त्यात लिहायला हवे. काय म्हणता मंडळी?

मराठी विक्शनरी शब्दकोशाच्या प्रणालीतील "वर्गीकरण" सुलभता मराठी भाषेच्या अभ्यासकांना आणि जिज्ञासूंना एक सहज व महत्त्वपूर्ण मदत करू शकते.
What is the reason to emphasize "वर्गीकरण" over other advantages of Wiktionary?

- "वर्गीकरण" is a tool which could be useful in their grammar studies of Marathi Language, in classification of Marathi words ,phrases and sentences.Today Marathi Lingusts may be having lot of handy grammar books and dctionaries handy,but I am not sure that they would have any easier tools for complex classifications of entire database of words/phrases/sentences.

What's in it for me? संपादन
Playing the Devil's Advocate....so don't shoot the messenger :-)
As the विभाग प्रमुख or any other person in position of power that can help Marathi wikipedia, what's in it for me?
Why should I spend time and resources to accomplish something to which I can not even put my name, forget about taking credit? Will this materially affect the working of my department/section/students? Will this be a research tool that will help my M.Phil./Ph.D students?
Why should I even bother reading *this* letter?
I think we should address this before sending the letter.
Like I said, I'm only voicing what I've heard before (yes, people *do* put themselves first :-{) and would like for us to add a 'benefits' paragraph more prominently in the opening third of the letter.

- I fully agree with Abhay. I think for most of us (already Wikipedians, that is) satisfaction of contributing suffices but for others we must find "tangible" benefits. However, I cannot think what personal/departmental benefits the HOD will get (I am not a good salesperson :( ). Since both Wikipedia/Wiktionary are in formative stages, they are going to consume a lot of energy without showing any noticeable "output".

- Agreed , frankly that way,wictionary would be last on their priority;because they are the people who have all dictionaries in printed form with them.Even in english wikipedia it commands very minor percentage of the user.
- English wiki has huge linguistic resourses ,they can go without wictionary, the problem would be before marathi wikipedians , any lack of support on good words will reduce pace of the work.We need to find some way out.

विक्शनरीचा उल्लेख संपादन
- सध्या तरी माध्यम प्रसिध्दी मराठी विकिपीडियाचे करावे. त्यात मराठी विक्शनरीचा उल्लेख केल्यास हरकत नाही. पत्रे novice माणसाला लगेच समजेल असाच असावा. →→महाराष्ट्र एक्सप्रेस(च/यो)→→ १४:०२, १२ मार्च २००७ (UTC)
महाराष्ट्र एक्सप्रेस , हे पत्र मराठीत लिहिण्याकरिता चपखल शब्द हवेत , असे शब्द नव्याने योजावे लागले किंवा तयार करावे लागले तर मराठीतील सर्व पर्यायी शब्द सहज उपलब्ध व्हावेत या दृष्टीने विचारकेला तर विक्शनरीतील शब्दसंपत्ती हा मराठी विकिपीडियाचा एक महत्त्वाचा आधारस्तंभ ठरते असे मला वाटते.
नवागतांच्या दृष्टीने माहिती होण्याकरिता मटा तील लेखच आवाहन म्हणून सहज वापरता येतो व तो पुरेसा आहे.
पण आपल्याला मराठी भाषेच्या अभ्यासकांना आवाहन करावयाचे आहे आणि त्यात विक्शनरी हा केंद्रबिंदू असावा असे मला वाटते. 'विक्शनरी' ची संकल्पना नवागताच्या दृष्टीने सोप्या शब्दात मांडावी हा विचार योग्य आहे त्या दृष्टीने या पत्रात सुधारणा स्वागतार्ह आहे.
महाराष्ट्र एक्सप्रेस, विक्शनरीचे स्ट्रक्चर आपणास सहज भासते त्या पेक्षा काहीसे निराळे आहे. याबाबत आपण इंग्रजी विक्शनरीचा अधीक अभ्यास करावा अशी विनंती आहे.विक्शनरीचे अभिप्रेत स्ट्रक्चरजे आहे त्याला अभ्यासले तर फक्त इंग्लिश आणि हिंदीच नव्हे तर शक्य तेव्हढ्या इतर भाषी विक्शनरींमध्ये मराठी भाषा अभ्यासकांचा सहभाग मराठी भाषेस पोषकच ठरतो. जगातला इतर कोणताही भाषक इंग्रजी आणि हिंदी धरून महाराष्ट्रात येताना सहज पणे मराठी शब्द आणि भाषा वापरून व्यवहार करू लागला तर आपल्याला हवेच आहे. या दृष्टीने मराठी विकिकरांनी इतर भाषातील विक्शनरीत त्यांच्या भाषेतील शब्दाला मराठी प्रतिशब्द उपलब्ध करणे मराठीस पोषक आहे.
