[[चित्र:Fireworks.gif|130px|left]]सर्व मराठी विकिपिडीयंसला '''नवीन वर्षाच्या अनेक अनेक शुभेच्छा.''' आम्ही आपल्या साठी नवीन वर्षाची आगळी वेगळी भेट घेऊन आलो आहोत. हो '''विकीपात्रिका ...!''' मराठी विकिपीडियाचा वाढत असलेला व्याप, म्हणजे कामाच्या आघाड्या आणि विपी परिवार यामध्ये उत्तम समन्वय राहावा, वेगवेगळ्या दिशांनी होणार्‍या कामांची सर्वाना माहिती व्हावी ह्या प्रमुख उद्देशाने हा नवीन उपक्रम सुरुकरीत आहोत. जेणेकरून सदस्यांना आपल्या आवडीच्या कामात भाग घेऊन योगदान करता येईल, तसेच कार्यरत सदस्याचे योगदान पण समोर आणता येईल. संख्याकी, लक्ष, ध्येय आणि ऑफ लाईन कामे त्यासाठी लागणारा जनाधार आणि नेटवर्क ह्यात सुसंवाद साधण्यात ह्याचा उपयोग होईल.

The India Wikiproject was set up to increasing coverage of India-related topics on Wikipedia, and over the past few months the focus has been on improving [[Wikipedia:WikiProject_India/Assessment|article quality]]. A number of the project's [[WP:FA|featured articles]] underwent [[WP:FAR|featured article reviews]] over the past year. Of these, [[Darjeeling]] and [[Flag of India]] survived the review process, while the rest were demoted. During the same period, [[Gangtok]], [[Harbhajan Singh]], Darjeeling and [[Mysore]] were featured on the main page respectively on August 20, September 17, November 6 and December 29, 2009. Meanwhile, articles on topics as diverse as [[Political history of Mysore and Coorg (1565–1760)]], [[Marwari horse]] and [[Iravan]] were promoted as featured articles, and respectively appeared on the main page on March 25, May 17 and May 28, 2010. नववर्षाच्या मुहूर्तावर विकीपात्रिका ह्या मासिकाच्या प्रकाशनाची सुरुवात होत असतांना आम्हाला अतिशय आनंद होत आहे. आम्ही आशा करतो कि भविष्यात सदर मासिक हे मराठी विकिपीडियाच्या उज्वल भविष्यात मोलाचा वाट उचलण्यात उपयोगी येईल. आपणही ह्या उपक्रमात भरीव योगदान द्यालच हि अपेक्षा.
