About me
My academic training in Social Psychology includes emphasis in the areas of Aging; Gender and Sexuality; Group Dynamics; Cultural Psychology; Prejudice and Discrimination; and Applied Social Research. I have advanced training and experience in Research Design, Methods, and Analysis. I have always had the goal of building more fluid connections between the world of academia and the field of practice to build healthier communities throughout the life span. This goal led to my entry into the world of program evaluation and partnership development, a field in which I have acquired skills in group facilitation, needs assessment, strategic planning, data-driven program monitoring, and translational research. For over 15 years, I have gained experience in program evaluation, applying a collaborative participatory approach, at multiple stages of programming and evaluation capacity development.
My work
My work with the Movement Insights team at the Wikimedia Foundation is centered around aggregate learning about Wikimedia movement communities. Working to surface data needs for understanding community engagement, diversity & inclusion and monitoring progress toward the Thriving Movement goals with a focus on equity. I am responsible for aggregating data from across internal and external sources in order to evaluate the state of communities overall. These building insights will provide strategic data input to the leaders of community facing teams to facilitate data learning about our volunteer communities and continuously inform the leadership along their transformational path to enthusiastic data use in program design and impact assessment.
