  • On December 23, 2010 Marathi Wikipedia crossed 32,000 articles. Marathi WIkipedia reached the mark of 33,333 articles on April 24, 2011.
  • Marathi Wikipedia community organised its first editathon on February 26-27, 2011, to mark the occasion of Marathi language day, celebrated by Marathi speakers around the world on 27th of February every year. More than 1400 edits were committed in this editathon spanning across two days, marking approx. 140% growth upon the earlier daily average edit count that used to hover around 500. The event fetched a fresh lot of active editors for the community and boosted collaboration amongst the editors.

About Wiktionary

Marathi wiktionary has not witnessed much growth since the last issue of this newsletter due to lack of steady flow of community activities. Marathi wiktionary currently holds 1,816 articles and ranks 82nd - based on article count by January 2011 - amongst all wiktionary projects.

About Wikiquote

There hasn't been much activty happening at Marathi wikiquote project since the last issue of this newsletter due to lack of active bunch of editors.

About Wikisource

संपादन

Marathi wiki community submitted proposal to setup the wikisource project for the language in October 2011. The proposal is still under review.
