Mahitgar, this is not true. If u see outside Pune/Mumbai Marathi is still prominent medium of education in rural Maharashtra. It denotes that Marathi language is lagging behind. Why should this be included? I think its not related to Marathi history and cause reader to think something wrong about Marathi.
