:I believe that we should not let a bot modify pages without supervision, especially when content is changed (as against interwiki, categorization etc.)
:I suggest a bot that crawls through the pages and reports on spelling mistakes to its operator, without actually modifying the articles. The user then verifies the modifications and s/he(or another bot with stricter, more defensive implementation) makes the changes.
