तोमरने दोहा येथे 2019 मध्ये झालेल्या आशियाई नेमबाजी स्पर्धेत 50 मीटर रायफल थ्री पोझिशन्समध्ये अंतिम फेरीत ४४९.१ गुण मिळवत कांस्यपदक जिंकले. अशा प्रकारे त्याने भारतासाठी नेमबाजीतील या प्रकारासाठी २०२०च्या उन्हाळी ऑलिम्पिकमध्ये दुसरा कोटा मिळवला. त्याने याच स्पर्धेत चैन सिंग आणि पारूल कुमार यांच्या साथीने सांघिक स्पर्धेत कांस्य पदक जिंकले.
