मी मराठी विकिवर सध्या वेगळ्या कारणासाठी आलो होतो, परंतु तुमचे माझ्या चर्चा पानावरील निरोप पाहिले.
माफ करा पण मी पुढील लिखान इंग्लिश मध्ये करतो जेणे करून मी ते थोडे पटकन लिहु शकेन.
I respect your feelings, your feelings are similar to any wiki contributor including me when they hear about some one leaving Marathi wiki. but I must say sorry to you about joining Marathi wiki again. I am not sure whether I am disappointed with my self or with existing users with duplicate ID's or ???? but one thing I am sure is that I need a long wiki break.
I just wanted to share some feelings with you.
When any new user joins wiki, he will be certainly aiming to contribute to some special topic. Like in my case, Initially I was more interested in contributing about my city, my colleges, famous personalities from my city. But the existing user had to work really hard correcting me grammatically, regarding structure of the content etc. But many new user's will be offended by such suggestion and a fight will be there. Eventually when the new user understands functioning or wiki and structure of wiki, they will start contributing without any problem. You can see a lot of such cases and I am happy for all such users. So all these fights, even when they look bad are acceptable because there result will be always positive.
Some times you will find a new user who is not satisfied with the wiki system or the users will develop a grudge against wiki or some particular contributors. He will cause some nuisance with same user ID or with multiple ID's. I will say even this behavior is acceptable because it's a failure of wiki community to solve issues faced by a individual user.
In my case, I mostly worked with sports related content. This is the safest place on Marathi wiki, no one want to touch you there :).
I am proud to say that I worked with and developed most of the sport related articles on Marathi Wikipedia, if there are any objections, I accept them. I also want to add that there are many new users who actively participate in sports related articles now. So I had mostly peaceful stay on Marathi wiki with occasional acceptable disturbances.
In sports content there are so many things to do that I was always hard pressed for free time. for this reason i hardly contributed in any discussion etc. But lately I started observing some disturbing trend in discussions on Marathi wiki. You will find a new user with 0 edits always participating in discussion with knowledge about wiki like a expert. On funny side I found it something like '''[[:en:The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (film)|The Curious Case of Benjamin Button]]'''.
I even discussed in general about this thing with some senior Marathi wiki contributors.
If you take a look at my all the discussions on my pages, you will not find the language I used while discussing with user '''भीमरावमहावीरजोशीपाटील'''. When I looked at his message to some user, I knew he is a mask. I just wanted to bring him out of his closet. If you look at his replies except for the जातियवाद accusation , you can see his understanding about wiki system even thou his arguments are weak. This is a understanding that comes with time which is more than 3 months, I am not considering exceptional genius here.
But he is not the only mask, I think there are about three masks unfortunately they have supporters. I allow you t think about me as paranoid :-)
I have discussed about the new user conflicts but can you see any gain for any party in this '''Mask Game'''.
I am disappointed because these masks are the people who have contributed , who have understanding of wiki in general, who can influence people as you see in there supporting post of all unknown users.
Personally I don't see a meaning in contributing on Marathi wiki any more because of all this. I guess I just need a very long wiki break.
