Mangal Pandey was born on 19 July 1827 in the village of Nagwa in district Ballia (Uttar Pradesh),in a Bhumihar Brahmin family[1]-------------------------------- He did a lot for our country- He joined the English East India Company's forces in 1849 at the age of 22 as a soilder. Being a soilder he refused to listen to the unjust demands of the east India company His revolt is called the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857 or the First War of Indian Independence. His struggle inspired manyindians to demand independence. He is widely seen in India as one of its first freedom fighters. The Indian government has issued postage stamps in his memory. His life and actions have been adapted many times in Indian cinema. He died on 8 April 1857

Hindi source was cited to change date of birth at two places out of three in the article, that too wrongly, since the source says 30 Jan 1830 and not 31 Jan. Until the resolution of this issue, as DoB has been deleted from the English Wikipedia article, I suggest we follow the same here. The above mentioned source which I removed was this-
