River Purna origineted from Bhainsdehi,district-Betul(M.P.)There is old Shiv mandir on the bank of river Purna at Bhainsdehi.It enters in the state of Maharashtra in Chandur bazar taluka of district Amravati.There is a confluence of river Purna and river Katepurna near village Hingnee Mirzapur in taluka Daryapur and another confluence of river Purna and river Chandrabhaga at village Sangwa-mel in taluka Murtizapur of district Akola.
