Genghis Khan (सहाय्य·माहिती) or Temüjin by birthname, (c. 1162[१]–August 18, 1227) (IPA: [ʧiŋgɪs χaːŋ], Mongolian: Чингис Хаан, साचा:Zh-c Chéngjísī Hán, Turkic: Chengez Khan, Chinggis Khan, Chinggis Xaan, Chingis Khan, Jenghis Khan, Chinggis Qan, Cengiz Han, Djingis Kahn etc.), was a Mongol political and military leader or Khan (posthumously Khagan[२]) who united the Mongol tribes and founded the Mongol Empire (Yeke Mongol Ulus, Екэ Монгол Улус), (1206–1368), the largest contiguous empire in world history. Born to the name Temüjin in the Borjigin family (Mongolian: Тэмүүжин, साचा:Zh-tp), he forged a powerful army based on meritocracy to become one of the most successful military leaders in history.
While his image in most of the world is that of a ruthless, bloodthirsty conqueror, Genghis Khan is an iconic and beloved figure in Mongolia, where he is seen as the father of the Mongol Nation (see also Mongolia). Before becoming a Khan, Temüjin eliminated and united many of the nomadic tribes of north East Asia and Central Asia under a social identity as the "Mongols."

या लेखात अजून दोन मुख्य मथळे लिहिले जावेत असे वाटते:
- जॉर्जिया, व्होल्गा बल्गेरिया प्रदेशावरील आक्रमण - ज्यामुळे मंगोल साम्राज्य पूर्व युरोपातील स्लाव्हवांशिक प्रदेशांना जिंकून जवळपास मध्य युरोपाच्य सीमेपर्यंत भिडले.
- मंगोल साम्राज्य - चंगिझ खानापासून सुरुवात झालेल्या मंगोल साम्राज्याचा एकंदरीत अभ्यास.
इंग्लिश विकिपीडियावरील en:Ghengis_Khan या लेखात ही दोन्ही प्रकरणे बर्‍यापैकी विस्ताराने लिहिली आहेत, त्याचा उपयोग व्हावा.
तसेच, अजून एक सूचना करावीशी वाटते: लेख लिहून 'save' करायच्याआधी आपले सर्व बदल शुद्धलेखनदृष्ट्या, व्याकरणदृष्ट्या तपासून, गरज भासल्यास सुधारावेत आणि मग save करावेत.

प्रिया, Kiev (युक्रेनची राजधानी) या शहराच्या नावाचा रशियन भाषेतील उच्चार कीयेव असा होतो; युक्रेनियन भाषेतील उच्चार क्यीव असा होतो (इंग्लिश विकिपीडियावरील 'क्यीव' लेखातील सुरुवातीलाच दिलेल्या उच्चारांच्या ऑडिओ फायली ऐका.); आणि मराठीत वृत्तपत्रीय लिखाणात त्याचे लेखन कीव्ह असे केले जाते. :)
(मला वाटते मराठीतील वृत्तपत्रीय लेखन आणि मूळ युक्रेनियन उच्चार जवळपास येणारे असल्याने क्यीव हा शब्द वापरावा.)
'Price Mstislav' याचे लेखन राजपुत्र म्स्तिस्लाव्ह असे करावे.

माझ्याकडून संपादन पूर्ण संपादन
मी माझ्याकडून सध्या या लेखावरील संपादन थांबवत आहे. पुढील महिन्याच्या मासिक सदराकरता हा लेख पुरेसा (sufficient) आहे असे मला वाटते. (चू.भू.द्या.घ्या. :-)) तरी कोणी लेख एकदा वाचल्यास शुद्धलेखन व वाक्यरचना बदलण्यास वाव असण्याची शक्यता वाटते. काही फरक किंवा लिखाणात चुका आढळल्यास त्या दुरुस्त करण्यास मी उपलब्ध आहेच. :-)

- ^ Rashid al-Din asserts that Genghis Khan lived to the age of 72, placing his year of birth at 1155. The Yuanshi (元史, History of the Yuan dynasty, not to be confused with the era name of the Han dynasty), records his year of birth as 1162. According to Ratchnevsky, accepting a birth in 1155 would render Genghis Khan a father only at the age of 30, and would imply that at the ripe age of 72 he personally commanded the expedition against the Tanguts. Also, according to the Altan Tobci, Genghis Khan's sister, Temulin, was nine years younger than he; but the Secret History relates that Temulin was an infant during the attack by the Merkits, during which Genghis Khan would have been 18, had he been born in 1155. Zhao Hong reports in his travelogue that the Mongols he questioned did not and had never known their ages.
